Mrs. H. Bishop motored to Wellington during the week.
Mrs. R. V. Kay was hostess at a children’s party last Saturday afternoon.
The opening of the Stratford Golf Club took place on Friday afternoon in beautiful weather. Several visitors from Hawera and Eltham were present. Hie president (Mrs. Boon) extended a hearty welcome to all those present, and declared the season open. A foursome match was then played. Among those present were Mrs. Boon, Mrs. Green, Mrs. Fryday, Mrs. E. Rutherfurd, Mrs. A. Coleman, Mrs. Uniacke, Mrs. Fisher, Mrs. R. Kay, Mrs. Mark, Mrs. H. Graham, Mrs. G. Carter, Mrs. Armstrong, Mrs. W. Boon, Mrs. Bowler, Mrs. . S. Robinson, Mrs. I. Rota (Hawera), Miss D. Meyrick (Hawera), Mrs. Ryan, Mrs. Stanners (Eltham), Mrs. Newell, Mrs. Quinn (Eltham), Mrs. Seyb, Mrs. Liddle, Mrs. Morton (Eltham), Mrs. C. Williams, Mrs. Burmester, Mrs. Williams, Mrs. K.
