Dr. Doris Gordon has returned from a holiday spent at Rotorua.

Mrs. J. C. Allen is spending a short holiday at Wellington-this week.

Miss Joan Coleman left for Wellington during the week aud is the guest oi Mrs. lan Johnstou.

Mrs. H. Bishop motored to Wellington during the week.

Mrs. R. V. Kay was hostess at a children’s party last Saturday afternoon.

The opening of the Stratford Golf Club took place on Friday afternoon in beautiful weather. Several visitors from Hawera and Eltham were present. Hie president (Mrs. Boon) extended a hearty welcome to all those present, and declared the season open. A foursome match was then played. Among those present were Mrs. Boon, Mrs. Green, Mrs. Fryday, Mrs. E. Rutherfurd, Mrs. A. Coleman, Mrs. Uniacke, Mrs. Fisher, Mrs. R. Kay, Mrs. Mark, Mrs. H. Graham, Mrs. G.
