WOMEN ASSAULTED
WIVES OF NAVAL MEN. EXCITEMENT IN HONOLULU. Honolulu, March 1. Further excitement has occurred as t. result of a native, believed to be a half-caste Chinese, having attacked the wives of two naval men. It is the first outbreak of this class of crime since a high official declared Honolulu to be unsafe for the wives of navy men. Mrs. John Hope, aged 35, wife of a machinist’s mate, was blindfolded, bound with silk stockings and gagged. The attacker then went next door and held up Mrs. Curry, aged 20. He menaced her with a revolver. Neither woman can give a clear description of the assailant. , •
