PUKEARUHE SCHOOL
CONCERT AND PRIZE-GIVING. A very enjoyable function was held in the Pukearuhe hall on Friday evening, when the annual prize-giving and Christmas tree ceremony took place. The evening was spent very happily by children and parents alike. Enjoyable items from the school children were alternated with dances. Santa Claus handed toys to the younger children, after which the book prizes were presented to the whole school, the four proficiency candidates receiving special prizes. Congratulations were offered to Doreen Baker, winner of the North Taranaki grade calf competition for dairy type. After supper pleasing items were given by adult members of the audience. 1
