BRIGHT FUNCTION AT PATEA. The Ciiurch of England annual ball at the Patea Town Hall on Tuesday was notable for the spectacular colourings and frockings and for the sociable atmosphere that prevailed throughout. Mr. L. W. Austin was master of ceremonies. Music was supplied by Wills’ orchestra. The attendance of Messrs. A. T. Christensen and C. R. Honeyfield furthered the smooth functioning of the programme, which was continued into the morning.
