IHAIA ROAD NEWS.
About 50 residents of Ihaia Road met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Wan on Monday night to make a presentation to Mr. B. O’Brien on the eve of his marriage with Miss Mulligan, of the staff of the New Plymouth hospital. A very enjoyable time was spent in competitions, games, singing and dancing. During the evening Mr. Wan presented Mr. O’Brien with an electric kettle and set of jugs. Mr. O’Brieu suitably replied. Supper was provided, and cheers and best wishes for the happy couple and the singing of- Auld Lang Syne brought au enjoyable evening to a close.
