FOREIGN MISSION FIELD

PRESBYTERIAN APPOINTMENTS.

DR. T. Z. KOO’S VISIT WELCOMED.

By Telegraph.—-Press Association.

Wellngton, Last Night. Resuming the discussion of the foreign mission report in the Presbyterian General Assembly to-day the Rev. W. Mawson moved, and the assembly agreed, that Miss Jean McNeur be appointed to the Canton Villages Mission and that a male surgeon be appointed to the Kong Chuen Hospital. Mr. Mawson also referred to the visit of Dr. Koo and moved that the assembly express appreciation of the value of the visit in strengthening the Christian cause.

Dr. Gibb in seconding the motion, which was agreed to unanimously, said that they had no need to despair of the Christian faith so long as it could turn out such men as Dr. Koo.
