POSTPONEMENT PROBABLE. By Telegraph.—-Press Association. - Auckland, Last Night. It is not likely that Norman (“Wizard") Smith will make his attempt. on the land speed record of 245 miles an hour at the Ninety -Mile Beach until next summer. There was a suggestion that he would bring his car from Sydney as soon as it was finished, some time next month, but the Auckland Automobile Racing Glub, which has been authorised to handie the attempt on the world record, now proposes to write to Air. Smith and advise him not to come to New Zealand until next summer, preferably January. An attempt, it is maintained, would be impossible in Alay.
