PLAY READING CIRCLE
TARANAKI WOMEN’S CLUB. The annual meeting of the playreadincr circle of the Taranaki Women’s Club was held at New Plymouth last night. Mrs. J. C. Nicholson was re-elected convener and the following were elected members of the committee: Alesdames Allen, C. H. Weston, A. L. Humphries, F. H. Moore, Misses Bedford, Allan, Thompson and Jackson (secretary and treasurer) with power to add to their numbers.
A vote of thanks was passed to Miss Skinner for her work, and to the casting committee for its services. A very interesting programme has been arranged for this season, the first plays including “Michael and Marg,” “The Barretts of Wimpole Street,” “By Candlelight,” and “The Last Enemy.”
