The Prime Minister, General Hertzog, in a statement at Pretoria to-day jifged the Boy Scout organisation to discontinue the use of the Union Jack as the flag of the organisation and the adoption of the Union national flag; ’otherwise there could not be co-opera-tion .by Afrikanders. "• > . , Speaking to. boys under the flag of another country regarding the Boy Scout oath, General Hertzog suggested that English, boys retain “God and King” • while lAfrikanders should adopt “God and Country.” He urged the resumption of negotiations on that basis.
