BOT HAW LOCAL. —J —•!— The firm of R. P. Morrissey and Co, advertises particulars of its sales at the Union Street salerooms, Hawera, to-day at 11 a.m. aiid 1.15 p.in. J. C. Smith gives final reminder of a sale of H. Kendall’s bankrupt stock of general drapery and clothing to-day on the premises, Union Street, Hawera, commencing at 11 ajo. The stock is a very varied one and includes lines to suit all tastes, as well as household linen, sheets; blankets and fancy good?; The sale will be continued each day until stocks are cleared. All who come to St. Joseph’s hall, Hawera; to-morrow night, are assured of good entertainment consisting of piano and vocal items, part singing, fancy dancing, Christmas play and Oriental operetta. A special feature of the programme will be the dresses. t The cheesemakers of Awatuna held a successful dance on Tuesday, a large number- of people attending from Stratford, Eltham and surrounding districts. The dance music was played by Les Davidson’s orchestra with extras by Messrs J. Hooker,-W. Coxhead, Les Davidson and W. Gower (drums).
