REVENUE OVER ONE MILLION
MAIN HIGHWAYS BOARD FINANCE PROCEEDS OF MOTOR TAXATION. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The receipts of the Main Highways Board for th© present financial year have already exceeded £1,000,000. The principal items of revenue are: Tyre tax, £67,756; motor vehicles tax, £362,524; motor spirits tax, £637,737; total, £1,067,817. The expenditure charged against revenue during the same period totals £492,000, and in addition there has been expended from construction account £453.000. Subsidies to boroughs and counties total £160,000.
