Samuel Rothcia, a married man aged about 30, proprietor of a laundry at Greymouth, has been missing since Friday night, when he went to Dobson. Rothera, who foimerly had been employed at the Dobson mine, had gone with anothpi man in a motor-lorry in order to collect his pay as a miner, since when there have been no tidings of him. The police are searching for the man who accompanied him. The lorry was on Saturday found parked alongside the Taylorville bridge near Dobson, but Rothera s wife is at a loss to account for his whereabouts. It is understood he left the mine owing to a heart ailment and it is feared he may have been drowned in the Grey River.
