NELSON’S WEATHER RECORD

ONE CLOUDY DAY IN TWO MONTHS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Nelson, Last Night. Although Nelson is noted for bright, cloudless days during .mid-winter months, sunshine during June and July has constituted a record. There was only one day in the past months without bright sunshine. On 21 days there was an average of over eight hours’ sunshine, and on 15 others there were over seven hours. On the last day of July nine hours were recorded. July was also the driest for 47 years, only .17:n. of rain being recorded. The month was one of almost cloudless skies and frosty mornings with an absence of wind.
