The Queen's Interests.

We all know how Keen an interest Queen Mary takes in the charitable and hospital work that is carried on. not only in Great Britain, but in tho remoter parts of the Empire,'says a Hondo ; writer. We know that she is a keen collector of antiques and an authority on china and pottery of certain periods, but no one has told us yet whether she reads mystery stories and detective ’ yarns. Even' if. she doesn’t read them, she now ’kno.ws at. least the name of Edgar' Wallace, .for recently she paid a surprise visit to Morley College' for AVorkriig Men and Women, which is financed by the London County Council, and among ' the classes she was'interested iii \vas one which was concerned with tho'' construction of detective stories.
