GOVERNOR-GENERAL’S TOUR

WANGANUI'S WARM WELCOME, By Telegraph. —Press Association. Wanganui, June 10. The Governor-General and Lady Bledisloe arrived to-day and were welcomed by a large crowd, including the Mayor (Mr. W. J. ? Rogers), the Hon. W. A. Veitch*(Minister of Railways), Mr. J. T. Hogan, M.P. for Rangitikei, and Wanganui city councillors. A guard of honour was supplied by the Technical College cadets and the Junior Garrison Band' was also present. Before leaving the platform their Excellencies were vigorously cheered. They inspected the guard of honour and the band before driving to the Rutland Hotel. Their Excellencies will be entertained at a Rotary Club luncheon this afternoon ami will attend a civic reception to-night.
