INQUIRY COMPLETED
WORKERS’ COMPENSATION ACT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The committee appointed by the Government and subsequently converted into a Royal Commission to investigate the Workers’ Compensation Act with a view to removing anomalies and generally improving the legislation on the subject, concluded its sittings last Saturday, and the report has been submitted to the Governor-General. An announcement as to tho principal recommendations will probably be made by the Minister of Labour at an early date. So far Cabinet has not considered the report.
