Mr. Davies was born in Gloucestershire, and when nine years of age accompanied his parents to New, Zealand, landing at Wellington. The family resided for some year at Rangiora, and then moved to Otakeho, Taranaki. Mr. Davies Was in business at Opunake for 18 years. He moved to Tauranga 25 years ago and had since lived there. Uo is survived by a widow and a family of eight sons and three daughters.
