There were 5259 unemployed in New Zealand for the week ended June 2, according to a statement issued to-day by the Minister of Labour, (the Hon. S. G. Smith). Of this number 2703 were registered at labour bureaux and post offices as being with dependents, and 2556 as being without dependents. A total of 880 men WUs placed in work- during'the week.
