LITTLE BOY DROWNED
SWINGING ON ROPE OVER RIVER. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Hamilton, May 6. Herbert Redpath, aged eight, son of Mr. James Redpath, manager of the Ngaruawahia bakery, was drowned in the Waikato River last night. The boy was swinging on a rope attached to a tree over the river at Ngaruawahia when he released his hold, falling in. The police are dragging for the body.
