POPULARISING COTTON
FROCKS IN HOUSE OF COMMONS. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, May 5 The women members of the House of Commons have followed the lead of her Majesty the Queen and appeared in the House to-day in cotton frocks made from Lancashire material. The Duchess of Athol arrived in a cotton voile of slatey blue with a floral design. Mrs. Mary Hamilton, Miss Susan Lawrence and Miss Edith PictonTurbervell all wore cotton frocks. Miss Megan Lloyd George announced that she was getting one, and Dr. Phillips said she was “getting one, but it is too early to wear it yet.” Dr. Bentham said: “I am getting a cotton dress for Whitsun.”
