GREAT AIRSHIPS TO MEET

GRAF ZEPPELIN AND RlOO BRITISH SHIPS IMPROVED , LONG FLIGHT PROJECTED British Official Wireless. Rec. 5.5 p.m. ' Rugby, April 23. Two of the biggest airships in the world, the British RlOO and the German Graf Zeppelin, will probably be seen side by side at Cardington, near Bodford, on Saturday. The Zeppelin is coming to Cardington to pick up Dr. Eckener, her commander, who arrived in England to-day from America. She will arrive on Saturday afternoon and stay about an hour. A large party, numbering 609 or 700 men, drawn mainly from the Royal Air Force, will handle the Zeppelin to the mooring mast.

RlOO will be brought from her shed to the mooring mast to-night if the weather conditions are suitable, and may make a ten or twelve hours’ flight to-morrow. Or»oe she has been brought out it is unlikely RlOO will return to her shed until after the trip across the Atlantic to Canada next month.

New engines of a later type have recently been fitted in RlOO, and these, as well as the envelope and the wireless installation, will be under special observation during the flight. This will be the sixth flight of RlOO, and there will probably be others before she leaves for Canada. The course for tomorrow’s flight will be decided accordiag to the direction of the wind.
