YOUNG WOMEN’S CLUBS
A DOMINION FEDERATION.

Wellington, Last Night.
A gathering of interest to many has just come to a close at Plimmerton, where between 50 and 60 young women, representing the Young Women’s Christian Association in all parts of New Zealand, met with the object of bringing about a federation of clubs throughout the Dominion. The delegates assembled on Good Friday and were welcomed by the conference hostess, Mrs. H. D. Bennett, of Wellington, who also introduced Yuki Kimura San, of Tokio, the guest of. honour. Miss Ethel Law, national general secretary, and Miss Leila Bridgman, national girls’ work secretary, were also present, and representatives from New Plymouth, Auckland, Palmerston North, Christchurch, Timaru and Dunedin.
The conference concluded with the holding of the first Dominion assembly service of the federation, in which members pledged their loyalty to its friendship.
