DEATH FROM EXPOSURE
OLD MAN’S MISADVENTURE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Invercargill, Last Night. . At the inquest on Patrick Francis Mulligan, an old man who was discovered dead in a ditch at Tuatapere, the coroner returned a verdict that deceased met his death at Tuatapere from exposure, the result of misadventure. A witness gave evidence, as to finding the body in a hole in a ditch. The hole was about four or live feet deep, and three feet wide. The head and upper part of, the body,-were well above the water, which was walling on the lower parts. Deceased appeared to have settled down in the hole, which .it would have been difficult for him to have got out of in his feeble state.
