NNE-FOOT SHARK CAUGHT
FOUR AT AUCKLAND WHARVES. •EXCITEMENT ON WATERFRONT. (By Wire—Special io News.) Auckland, Last Night. Four large ground sharks moving about in the harbour near the Western, wharf excited considerable attention on the waterfront this morning. One of the fish was caught on a line, and proved to be 9 feet long. The four sharks were first seen, about 9 o’clock this morning, and it was not long before lines were down baited with schnapper. A nctmendcr employed by Sandford’s, Ltd., was the only successful fisherman. One other shark was hooked, but got away with the line and two hapuka hooks.
