DESIRE TO QUIT RUSSIA
GERMANY STAYS SOVIET'S HAND. APPEAL FOR FUGITIVE PEASANTS. By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Rec. 7.55 p.m. Berlin, Nov. 19. The German Government has instructed th© embassy at Moscow to secure the suspension of action against Germanborn peasants, 2000 of whom have been sent to Siberia. President Hindenburg headed an appeal for the refugees with £lO,OOO from funds at his disposal and the Government is contributing £lOO,OOO, with. which a section of the fugitives will be settled in Germany. Those wishing to go to Canada will be assisted. It is explained that a serious situation will be created if all th© German peasants are seized with a desir© to quit Russia. It is estimated that they number at least 80,000.
