• HAMILTON’S OLDEST RESIDENT. • ’ DEATH OF MRS. MUNRO, AGED 94. By Telecrapli.—Pros* Association. Hamilton, Oct. 11. Hamilton’s oldest inhabitant, Mrs. Elizabeth Munro, aged 94, died to-day. She is believed to be the last remaining adult pioneer to land in Hamilton by the old gunboat 65 years ago. She was born in England and arrived In Australia in the early forties with her aunt. After residing in New Zealand she returned to Australia" for a period in the eighties and witnessed the capture of Ned Kelly. She claimed to bo closely related to Mr. Anthony Hordern, of Sydney. She had her full faculties to the end. Her father lived to 08 and her mother to 96. She is survived by six children.
