HIGH COMMISSIONERSHIP

AN EXTENSION OF THE TERM SIR JAMES PARR ASSENTS REQUEST FROM SIR J. WARD By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Australian Press Association. Received Oct. 3, 11.30 p.m. London, Oct. 3. The New Zealand High Commissioner, Sir Jamee Parr, who had booked passages for himself, his wife and daughters by the Mataroa, which is sailing for New Zealand on October 8, has been requested by Sir Joseph Ward to remain as High Commissioner till the end of December. To this Sir James Parr has assented. It is understood that, apart from his own personal inclinations, Sir James parr is impressed with the great importance of the Dominion being adequately represented at Geneva in November, when the Mandates Commission will examine the past years Samoan affairs, also the Dominion’s representation at the shipping conference which assembles on Tuesday and presumably will last till December. He will represent New Zealand at both gatherings.
