CARR-MOONEY.
Lena, eldest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Mooney, Thorndale, Urenui, was on July 15 married to Gerald, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Carr, Urenui. The ceremony took place in St. Andrew’s Church, New Plymouth, the Rev. J. 11. Coombes being the minister.
The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her grandfather, Mr. J. McEldowney, Westown, New Plymouth, was dressed in a gown of ivory georgette and silver lace, with veil and orange blossom, and carried a beautiful bouquet of white anemones, daisies and maidenhair fern. She was attended by her sister, Miss Daisy Mooney, who was attired in a frock of lemon taffeta and georgette with hat en suite, and carried
a bouquet of spring bulbs and maiden-
hair fern. Mr. Jeff. Carr was best man and Miss E. Gibson was at the organ. After the ceremony • breakfast was held at the Hygienic tea rooms, where Mrs. McEldowney, wearing a gown of navy blue wool crepe de chine, with hat to tone, received her gm sts, numbering about seventy. The bridegroom’s mother wore a frock of paisley silk Velvet, with hat and fur to tone, and both carried posies of violets. The couple left by ear for the north, where they are spending their honeymoon.
