Edward. Long, well-known and old-estab-lished residents of Manaia, was married to Keith Alexander, second son of Mr. and Airs. Camer-n, St. Helier’s Bay, Auckland, at St. Joseph’s Church, Manaia, on July 10. The bride was attired in a charming frock of dawn pink georgette fashioned in a sliver embossed fitting bodice, daintily finished in trueloverg* knots of silver and pale blue, with an overskirt of softly Bowing vandyked tulle of the same delicate shade. Her beautiful veil of pale pink tulle, which was handsomely embroidered and formed the train, was prettily arranged in Juliet style and caught at the temples with a band of silver and circlets of orange blossom, while the bouquet she carried consisted of a shower of choice flowers in tones of pink and white with trailing streamers to match. In attendance as bridesmaid, Miss Margaret Long, sister of the bride, wore a dainty frock of almond green georgette embroidered in autumn tints with large figured felt hat and shoes and stockings to tone. Her shower bouquet was carried out in mellow autumn shades, completing a most becoming mode. Captain A. G. Melies, Dannevirke, attended the bridegroom. The officiating clergyman was the Rev. Father M. M. O’Dwyer, Manaia, who was assisted by the Rev. Father Barr-Brown, New Plymouth. Following the ceremony a reception was held at ‘’Roseville,” the home of the bride’s parents, at which some 130 i guests were entertained in a specially arranged marquee in which the floral and fancy decorations were a delight to the eye, being carried out in a lattice work of streamers in’ shades of the palest of pink on a white ground. The masterpiece of all, a gloriously adorned floral wedding bell of snow-white finished with myriads of tiny, tinkling silver bells, hung over the bridal party. The bride’s mother wore a smart navy frock of satin beaute, over which slio wore a black fur coat and hat io match. She carried a dainty posey. The bridegroom’s mother wore toilette of figured crepe fleure and hat to tone, with blacksatin ottoman coat and beige furs. Mr. and Mrs. Cameron left by car for the south, (he bride travelling in a smart French tailored costume, over which she wore a navy tailored coat and furs, with cloche hat, shoes and bag to tone.

A New Zealand wedding took place on May 22, in Regent Square Presbyterian Church, Bloomsbury, London. The bridegroom was Dr. R. S. Aitken, son of the Rev. James Aitken and Mrs. Aitken, of Gisborne, and New Zealand Rhodes Scholar for 1924. The bride was Miss Madge Kane, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. 11. Kane, of Opawa Road, Christchurch. The Rev. G. T. Bellhouse officiated, and after the ceremony there was a small gathering of New Zealand and English friends in Mrs. Bellhouse’s home in Highgate. Dr. and Mra.
