WEDDINGS
ADDISON—ORR. The wedding took place at Christ's Church, Taumarunui, on July 3, of Rene Muriel, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Orr, Kaitangiweka, and Albert J. Addison, eldest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. Addison, Sydney, and nephew of Mr. and Mrs. R. Addison, Taumarunui. The bride, w’ho entered the church with her father, was attired in a light fawn crepe-de-chine and lace frock with shoulder spray of shaded pink satin roses, and wore a light fawn felt hat with touches of pink. She carried a beautifully arranged bouquet of pale pink and cream roses, maidenhair and tinted ferns and pink streamers. . Mrs. A. Gillespie, sister of the bride, attended as maid of honour and was attired in a rose beige satin beaute frock with hat to match, and carried a bouquet of roses and satin streamers to tone. Mr. Charles Addison, brother of the bridegroom, was groomsman. The
Rev. R. J. Boyt was the minister and Mrs. Burley was at the organ. The reception was held at the Marble Bar tea kiosk, where the Rev. Boyt' presided. The usual toasts were honoured, and the best wishes tendered to the couple. Mrs. Orr, who received the guests, wore a black ensemble suit with
hat to match, and carried a posy of violets and maidenhair fern. Mrs. Addison, aunt of the bridegroom, wore a green and beige ensemble suit and hat to match. Later the couple left by the afternoon train for the South Island, where the honeymoon will be spent. The
bride travelled in a smart red silk and wool crepe-de-chine frock relieved with fawn flecked tweed coat with lamb’s wool collar and fawn hat.
