HEAVY TOLL OF ACCIDENTS. By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. United Service. New York, July 5. A Chicago message states that the Independence Day celebrations on Thursday took a toll of 159 lives, a decrease of 49, from 1928. There was a reduction from drownings and heat prostrations. The deaths through automobile accidents numbered j'-fd. It ,is estimated that at least 400 were injured.
