SIX ASSAULT CHARGES
By Telegraph.—Tress Association. •Palmerston North, Oct. 14. Six charges of indecent assaults on girls of from four to 10 years were preferred against Alfred Victor Voyce, aged 30, in the Police Court this morning. Detective Russell gave evidence that accused made statements admitting each offence. His only explanation was that he had been under the influence of liquor. Accused pleaded guilty and was committed to the Supreme Court, Wellington, for sentence.
