TOO MANY TEACHERS
WELLINGTON BOARD’S WARNING. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. At the Wellington Education Board meeting to-day the chairman, Mr. T. Forsyth, M.P., declared that too many teachers were being turned out by the Training College. He said the Education Department was not honouring its part of the bond, and he warned parents of the position. In February there would be between 30 and 40 teachers from the Training College who could not be placed, as there were 120 applicants for 50 vacancies for probation teachers. The board discussed the position, but no resolution was moved and the matter was dropped.
