LURE OF DIAMONDS.

TBANSVAAD DI.SO VERY. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Capetown, June 9. To-morrow will see a hig diamond rush when the new field at Blandsputte (Transvaal) will be thrown open. Three weeks ago there were only a few shacks there. Since then the discovery of a number of valuable diamonds has attracted all classes, and 10,000 people are camped in the vicinity. The trains are crowded, and the roads crammed with all sorts of vehicles bringing a further influx of prospectors. Already 3000 licences have been issued, but it is expected that this number will be largely increased when the race for claims start.
