POLISH CAUSES EXPLOSION.
THREE WORKMEN BURNED. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Sydney, June 10. The fumes from polish used in new premises being constructed for the Commercial Union Assurance Co. in the city escaped through a window and came in contact with the cigarette of a passerby. A terrific explosion followed, and the place was immediately a sheet of flames. Three workmen, while endeavouring to extinguish it, were severely burned and taken to hospital. Extensive damage was done before the outbreak was subdued.
