EXPLORING THE ARCTIC.
CAPTAIN WILKINS’ PLANS. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received May 5, 11 p.m Vancouver, May 5. A Fairbanks telegram states that Captain George Wilkins announced on Tuesday night that he would leave Fairbanks on Wednesday, with Lieut. Eilsen as pilot, en route for Barrow, in a single-engine airplane. Thence Le would fly northward on hie last trip of exploration over the Arctic was’ p. in an attempt to discover land. The aeroplane will fly four hundred miles north of Barrow and cruise east and west over the Arctic for 209 miles and then return to Barrow.
