ROSEDAY DISQUALIFICATION. AN APPEAL DISMISSED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. The appeal of J. Richardson against the disqualification of himself, the horse Roseday, the trainer (D. P. Wilson, Jnr.) and the jockey (A. H. Wilson) was dismissed by the Racing Conference appeal judges (Sir George Clifford, Mr. John Grigg and Mr. G. N. McLean) and the deposit was forfeited.

In the course of their judgment the judges say: The evidence of the responsible official eye-witnesses of two races is in agreement as to the wilful prevention of Roseday from doing himself justice in the Gore Cup. Confirmation of their opinion is derived from his clearing the way in that race for his stable companion and from the different style of riding adopted on him on the second day. We cannot dissociate the owner of Roseday from the tactics pursued in running horses from Wilson’s stable on this occasion. The appeals of D. R. and A. H. Wilson vc-re withdrawn.
