PLAY IN NORTH TARANAKI. MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETS. The weekly meeting of the Management Committee of the North Taranaki Cricket Association was held at New Plymouth last night. Present: Messrs. C. G. Bottrill (chairman), T. H. Bates, C. O. Berg, H. H. Osborne, R. L. Mackie, A. D. Train, H. J. Grayson and H. Gibson.

Prior to the business of the evening being taken a vote of condolence with the relatives of the late Mr. D. Redpath, a former chairman of the New Zealand Cricket Council, was passed in silence. Correspondence was received from the Sportfiground Committee and dealt with. It was decided to ask Mr. F. C. Ferry to supervise the preparation of all wickets on the sportsground, and to generally watch the association’s interests. Mr. Ferry will convey all instructions from the committee to the groundsmen, and will also report to the committee any actions of players which are not in accordance with regulations.

Messrs. T. H. Bates, Train, Ferry and Osborne were appointed a committee to make all arrangements for the match against Auckland on January 9 and 10. Messrs. E. Whittle and J. Brown were appointed umpires for the match. The action of the New Plymouth Club in arranging to play the junior match with Borough Council, set down for to-day, at a date to be fixed was confirmed. Permission was granted to Western Park Club to play Manaia Club at New Plymouth during the Christmas holidays. On Christmas afternoon a match will be played on the sportsground between single and married players. Messrs. Grayson (married) and Mackie (single) will arrange the teams. The next meeting of the Management Committee will be held on Friday, January 16, 1925.

Harris, Moorhead (2), Lash, Palmer, Dinniss, Pope, Lovegrove, Petty, Hughes, Pizey. Emergency, Williams. WESTERN PARK. Western Park juniors to play Harbour Works at Tukapa:—Hooker, Scrivener, Wright, Duff, Prendergast, Jackson, McDonald, Heibner, Alsweiter, Petty and Gayton.

JUNIOR MATCH POSTPONED The junior match between Borough Council and New Plymouth, originally intended to be played to-day, has been postponed.
