END OF SCHOOL YEAR. TIKORANGI AND WAITARA. (From Our Own Correspondent.) Waitara, Dec. 19. The Tikorangi School held its annual concert and dance in the local hall on Thursday evening, when a large programme'was rendered by the children in a most creditable manner, and was a credit to those who tutored the children in their manv vocal numbers.

The following is a list , of items rendered: Opening choriis, combined scholars; fan song, junior girls; song, “School Slates,*’ junior girls; recitation, Murray Hicks; song, “Heads and Heels,” chilsong. '‘Flowers,” senior girls; drill, jntiiots; flag songs, combined scholars; dialogue; character song, "Gipsy Girls,” senior girls; violin solo. J. Riddle; ribbon drill, senior girls; sketch, “The Mad Tea Party,*’ (from “Alice in Wonderland”), Alice, Irene Foreman: Dormouse Mr. Worthy; March Hare, Mr. Evans; Mad Hatter, Mr. Terry. After the concert an excellent supper was provided. The floor was’ cleared and dancing was indulged in to the music of Boulton’s orchestra. It is expected that £2O will be netted on behalf of the school.

The Waitara State School broke up for the summer vacation to-day. An impromptu concert was rendered by the children in the schoolroom. Owing to the unpleasant weather . the swimming competitions were abandoned.
