The doctors hope that the Premier will be able to leave hiii bed in ten days’, time, but are doubtful whether he will be fit to tackle the many difficult problems demanding urgent attention.

A later message says that the condition of M. Herriot is satisfactory. The fever is decreasing and the phlebitic inflammation in the leg is becoming localised.
