Newton King, Ltd., report:— Stratford sale, Tuesday, December 9: We report a fair yarding of cattle which 1 sold at late rates. Quotations: Fat and forward cows £3 Ils to £6 17s 6d; store cows 30s to £3 ss; pedigree Jersey bulls up to £l3 13s; yearling heifers 37s to £3 7s. Ohura sale, Thursday, December 11: We "report a fair yarding of both sheep and cattle, all of which were sold under the hammer. Quotations: All sheep shorn. Two-tooth wethers 28s to 28s lOd; 2-tooth ewes 32s ; 4-tooth ewes 35s 9d; yearling steers up to £3 17s; 4-year bullocks £6 17s 6d; yea heifers 28s to £ 3 2s.
Douglas sale,' Mowlay. December 15: We report a fair yarding in both departments and a good clearance under the hammer. Quotatlons: m.a. ewes 17s 6d to 21s Id; lambs 15s 6d; m.a. wethers 35s Id, all shorn; fat cows £3 19s to £6 Vs; fat heifers £6 14s; good store cows £3 3s up: others from 35s to £2 9s; yearling steers £3 2s; yearling heifers £2 10s: 2-year steers £3 8s to £4 6s; 4-year bullocks .£6 10s.
