RESULT OF POLICE RAID.

Christchurch, Dec. 15.

Detectives yesterday raided a workshop in a secluded part of the Cashmere Hills and took possession of a number of complete bicycle® as well as 'bicycle parts, equipment and mechanical devices which it is alleged, were stolen. This followed the arrest of a young man on Saturday on a charge of theft. He had been attempting, it is reported, to dispose of second-hand bicycles in the city. As a result of the raid on his workshop, Thomas Robert Glover, aged I<B, appeared in the Magistrate’s Court charged with the theft of two bicycles and was remanded, the police stating that a a large number of charges were pending.
