STRANGE CASE OF SUICIDE. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Sept. 18, 7.20 p.m. London, Sept. 18. Charles Lazelle, an octogenarian, formerly chief warder in Wandsworth gaol, haunted by dreams of an execution lie witnessed, committed suicide at Ashford, Middlesex, in a manner resembling a scaffold scene. He attached a rope to the roof of a shed, near his house, mounted the steps, tied a noose round his neck and jumped through an open trapdoor.
