DEAD IN A CELL. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Sept- 15. While confined in a cell at the police station this morning on a charge of vagrancy. Daniel Minogue, aged 57, died in his sleep, heart failure being the cause. He was arrested on Saturday. BLOWN TO PIECES. Dunedin, Sept. 15. The Dunedin police were advised yesterday afternoon from Ranfurly that a shocking fatality occurred at Hamilton’s mining works, Central Otago. Thomas Man. aged 45, a single man, was found literally blown to pie rvs, apparently by gelignite. FATALITY TO RIDER Hastings, Sept. 15. Jack Rollo, aged 67, ex-steeplechase rider and trainer, who was seriously hurt through a motor colliling with a horse he was riding on Wednesday night, died in the Napier Hospital Saturday night.
