AMENDMENTS PROPOSED. (By Wire—Parliamentary Reporter.) Wellington, Last Night. The P. and T. Amendment Bill, which was introduced in the House to-day, proposes to impose a fine not exceeding £lOO or a year’s imprisonment on anyone wilfully making a false statement respecting the use of a telephone with intent to defraud the revenue. All dealers in licenses shall be licensed as from April 1. A portion of the fees received in respect of wireless telegraphy licenses may be apportioned in assistance of broadcasting agencies.
