RAW RECRUITS IN MOROCCO.

The Paris correspondent of the Daily Express states that travellers arriving ■from Spain report that the unpopularity of the Moroccan war is causing open talk of a revolution, especially as Spain is suffering from the prevalence of “graft” in the army. 'Soldiers are sent to wdr almost in lags, and wearing miserable boots, so that many threaten mutiny.

Seasoned troops are kept at home to quell internal trouble, while raw recruits have been sent to Morocco.

MOORS MOBILISING. SPAIN’S RETALIATION. TANKS AND POISON GAS. Received. March 9, 5.5 p.m. London, March 8. The Tangier correspondent of the Daily Express reports that eighty thousand Moorish rebels have mobilised into two divisions. One is marching in the direction of Shenbuan and Tetuan for the purpose of attacking Spanish communications; the others are concentrating for operations in the direction of Melilla. Communications are still cut between Tibbiazza and Azibmidar. It is alleged that Moorish aeroplanes are piloted by European officers, who served in the Great War.

General Weyler, chief of the Spanish Supreme War Council, is utilising the most\ modern methods of warfare, including tanks and poison gas.
