SALE OF MR. F. J. JOHNSTON'S HERD. There was a large attendance, including prospective buyers from as fa* afield as Masterton, Palmerston North, AVaitara, and other parts of Northern Taranaki, at the clearing sale conducted by Messrs. Gillies and Nalder, in conjunction with Mr. Newton King, on account of Mr. F. J. Johnston at flawcra, on AVednesday. The cattle were in poor condition, and, consequently, not looking at .their best. Mr. A. W.
