P. AND T. SHOOTING COMPETITION

WON BY NELSON. The shooting competition for the Western Electric Shield among companies of the Post and Telegraph Engineers and Cadets for tho year 1919-20 was won by No. 3 Company, Nelson, with a score of 401 for four practices (application, snap, and rapid fire, at 200 yards and application at 500 yards). No. 7 Company, Wellington A team, 383 came second, and No. 1 Company, Auckland A team, 348, third. Nine teams competed. The winning team's scores were:— Lieutenant Baggs, 93 (top for the Dominion). Corporal Jennens, 88. Sergeant Kemp, 79. Sapper Peters, 78. Sapper Smith 63. The scores were: Nelson 401. Wellington A 383', Auckland A 348, Wanganui 329, Auckland B 312, Wellington (7th P. and T.) 299, Duneuin 278, Wellington 271, Wellington B 253.
