annual conference- of tho Churches of Christ (northern district) was held at Wellington. The women's conference was pressed over by Mrs Patching. The report stated that cash raised" included £56 10s for Homo Missions, and £20 15s lor Foreign Missions. This was for special work. Encouraging reports were presented by. all societies of work done. Officials elected for the ensuing year were:— President, Mrs Patching; vice-presi-dents, Mrs Taylor and Mrs Paternoster; secretary, Mrs Vickery; treasurer. Mrs Murgatroyd- . The general conference was presided over by Mr R J. Dick, president. Rftytwo delegates responded to the roll call, representing churches from the North Auckland, Auckland, Wellington, and Nelson districts. Over one hundred additions were reported, the membership of the North Island and Nelson district now numbering 1878, with over 2000 scholars ifnd 200 teachers. Over £1500 was raised for Homo Missions, and about £1000 for Foreign Missions. A new building had been authorised, and was going forward under the leadership of Mr Tiieo. Edwards, who recently came from Australia. The following officers were elected:—President, Mr Meltcm Vickery; vice-president, Mr H. Leng; secretary, Mr EL Ames; treasurer, Mr G.
