Washington, July 22. The authorities restored order after rioting had continued most of the night.- Negroes drove through the streets shooting at white soldiers and civilians. Two whites were killed. Hundreds of arrests were made.
Mr Baker issued an order to the military to use the necessary means to suppress rioting.
